Handmade leather shoes offered as selected finished pairs and made-to-order designs. Choose your color, US size and width; each product page states the actual leather, last, sole and construction used for that pair.
Handmade Leather Shoes — Built the Way They Used to Be Made
Handsole makes handmade leather shoes in finished and made-to-order configurations. Instead of applying one construction claim to every pair, each product page states the actual upper leather, lining, sole, construction, last and fit information for that design.
Choose the same design in your size and width. If that pair is not already finished, we make a fresh pair for your order. Standard builds typically take 7–10 working days before dispatch; complex custom or bespoke requests are confirmed separately.

Construction describes how the upper, insole, welt or stitching system, outsole and heel are joined. Different methods create different trade-offs in structure, flexibility and repairability; the label alone does not determine fit or quality.
Use Our Craft to understand the methods, then use each product's Materials & Construction section as the authority for the pair you are considering.
◆ Fit Guidance
Not Sure Which Last Fits Your Foot?
Compare the five Handsole lasts, toe shapes, forefoot room and width guidance, then use your measurements and each product’s fit notes to narrow the options before ordering.
Arthur is the rounder, roomier forefoot direction in the Handsole range. Compare your measurements, offered width and the product fit notes before ordering.
Consider when: You prefer more visible forefoot room · E / EE / EEE where offered
Henry uses a semi-square profile that balances definition with forefoot space. Use the actual product fit notes rather than assuming one last is universal.
Consider for: A balanced semi-square silhouette · formal and smart-casual designs
Use our Fit Guide — it uses US sizing throughout and explains width options and which last suits your foot shape. If you are between sizes or unsure about width/last, contact us before production. If an unworn pair does not fit as expected, use the Fit Promise process so we can review the appropriate remedy.
In Stock means a finished pair already exists in a specific size and can ship sooner. If your size is not already finished, order the same design normally and we make a new pair in your selected size and width. Standard made-to-order builds typically take 7–10 working days before dispatch. Custom-fit or bespoke changes are available when you need more than the standard product options.
If an unworn pair does not fit as expected, contact us before returning it. We review the fit issue and order details first; depending on the cause and pair, the appropriate remedy may be guidance, adjustment, exchange or remake.
Break-in depends on the last, upper leather, lining, sole and construction of the specific shoe. A well-matched US size, width and last should feel appropriately secure from the start; normal wear may soften the upper and sole, but persistent pain or severe pressure should be treated as a fit question rather than something to force through.
Handsole products offer D, E, EE and EEE width choices where shown on the product page. The Arthur last is the rounder, roomier forefoot direction in the range. For unusual measurements or needs beyond standard options, use Custom Made before production.
Handsole sells directly and keeps the product specification visible. Price varies by the actual design, leather, construction and finishing used on that pair, so compare the product page rather than assuming every Handsole shoe has one universal build.
